About

I am Saksorn (Harry) Ruangtanusak, an AI researcher at SCBX Group, working with the Typhoon team on language models and AI agents. My research journey began in nuclear engineering, where I worked on reactor simulation (PHYSOR’22) under the guidance of Yanin Sukjai. In 2022, I transitioned to AI, earning a gold medal in the National SuperAI Engineer Program and subsequently working at AI and Robotics Ventures and CJ MORE.

A turning point came when I collaborated with Professor Michael Bernstein through SCBX-Stanford HAI on simulating millions of Thai people. This collaboration inspired my research focus on Generative Agent Simulations. Since then, my research has covered agent evaluation (SEATauBench, EMNLP’26 Findings), agent behavior (When a Kindergartener Solves Calculus, under review), tool-using agents (Talk Less, Call Right, EMNLP’25 WordPlay), and RAG (DoTA-RAG, SIGIR’25 LiveRAG).

Beyond research, I enjoy teaching and mentoring. I served as a professor coach in the National SuperAI Engineer Program (2024–2025) and regularly give talks at universities and high schools. My mentorship has contributed to research projects including He, She, It (NeurIPS’26 WiML), ThaiEOT (IEEE ICSEC’25), and SpeechConversationBench (arXiv).
